The next scheduled Promotion Test for the Weisberg Taekwon-Do Center will be held on Monday August 9th for Part 1 and Wednesday August 11th for Part 2. The testing site is at the Medinah Park District. The test will start at 5:00 sharp on both days.
If possible, please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Family members, spouses, and friends are welcome to come and watch this important event in the student's life.
Students can be ineligible and taken off this list due to progress, eligibility, or attendance. Attendance is mandatory for both days of the testing.
Study guides will be emailed. The promotion application and testing fee schedule will either be e-mailed or hard copies will be passed out in class to the parents of the students. The completed promotion application and fee are due on or before July 28th.
Curriculum/testing requirements can be found on our website.
Please feel free to take photos and videos. I encourage you to please post any photos and videos to our Facebook page under visitor posts and/or e-mail them to Mr. Weisberg.
Any students not testing are expected to attend the test, watch, learn, and support their fellow students who are testing. These two testing days are a learning experience, whether you are testing or not. Attending class and progressing in Taekwon-Do entails the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of the art. Developing self-esteem, confidence, respect, setting goals, attitude, and discipline are part of life skills. This is in addition to the tenets of Taekwon-Do. Participating in or observing a class or test are all part of growing and learning in Taekwon-Do.
Please mark your calendars. Promotion tests are held approximately every five to seven months or so. Our last testing was five months ago. Promotion tests are a big day for the students and a day of pride for their parents and all involved.
Good luck to all our students. Also, a special thank you goes out to the parents of our students for all their support. Parents, you are the best and I appreciate everything you do.
